Copenhagen Embroidered Ornament - Open Sandwich

In Denmark, it doesn’t get more traditional than this. Usually eaten for lunch, open-faced sandwiches consist of a piece of buttered, rye sourdough bread – a dense, dark brown bread – topped with different combinations of seafood, meat, cheese, vegetables and condiments. Enjoy with a local beer or an ice-cold snaps (aquavit).
